RENAULT CAPTUR

Out to Captur the hearts of Namibians, Renault's new crossover boasts a lot more bang for it's buck.

The Captur is available in two derivatives - the Blaze and the Dynamique; of which the latter will be discussed in the near future. The Blaze sport's a 0.9 liter turbocharged engine which kicks out a whopping 66 kilowatt. A soft but firm ride, so much so that it performs pretty well on some of the rough Namibian terrains. One must however not forget that this isn't a SUV, it performs well enough to trick you though.

The extra height and suspension soaks up city centre's bumpy roads and overall the ride quality has vastly improved. The Captur is made for the city and it's easy to see why it's a popular alternative to many other of the brand's models, especially for families.

This model shares the same platform, engines and mechanical details of the Clio, another of Renault's well known creations. Coupled with its raised ground clearance and commanding view of the road ahead, it makes for a great city SUV.

Renault is keeping up with the trends and exceedingly so. It's “C-Shape” LED daytime running lights and rear LED light signature are a testament to their stylish approach. As the saying goes - it's what is on the inside that counts, and what stands out the most must the stereo's R&Go radio which allows you to interact through our smartphone using it's R&Go app.

Other smart features include rear parking sensors, front & rear power windows, auto headlights, auto windscreen wipers, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control & speed limiter, and cornering headlights. Additional improvements include chromed trimmings, a new shape soft-touch dashboard, interior panels, redesigned gear lever, new central storage options and a front row seat central armrest.

Another trending feature, the Captur has it's own variation of the key less entry called a Card unlocking system, hands-free function; making it less of a hassle to open your car.

Quite impressive to say the least. Beating this vehicle in it's class (cross-over) will be quite the task!
