Barry de Klerk - Driving around your city and town should be as easy and comfortable as possible and the vehicle architects at Nissan know that.
Nissan’s Micra is a vehicle that speaks for itself. It has been around for a long time with a few changes here and there. The latest model in the Micra line is simply brilliant; giving new car owners a choice that will certainly fit their pockets.
It is however no longer Nissan’s budget brand, because their Datsun line-up already covers that. The Micra is targeted towards the younger crowd. It has a bigger body build and it has been lowered. Nissan gives owners more room on the inside, while giving them something beautiful to brag with on the outside.
The new model will be sold alongside the Micra Active, a classy budget vehicle. The Micra is a five-door hatchback with enough style to make everyone jealous. It is ideal for the city or the long road and it gives you an enormous amount of luggage space.
On the inside it has beautiful sewn seats and an on-board entertainment system that is an upgrade over the previous models’. The infotainment system has a 7-inch full colour display with navigation, an audio system, mobile phone connectors and it always you to download apps straight to your car.
Other features include: an adjustable steering; air-conditioner; multi-functional steering wheel and electric windows. The car also has daytime running lights and a roof spoiler to give you that sports car feel.
The Micra has an idle stop/start system and it is complemented with a cruise control function. Safety is always important, especially on Namibian roads. The Micra is fitted with six airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).
Under the bonnet you get a small 0.9l turbo three cylinder engine that delivers 66kW and 140Nm. Giving you a balance between power and fuel economy. Nissan claims the Micra only consumes 4.4l of fuel per 100km.
