Garwin Beukes - The use of goods vehicles to transport people has become an epidemic in Namibia.
During last week the Windhoek City Police found more than 20 workers transported on a truck intended for material loading purposes. Windhoek City police stopped the asian owned company truck which they were monitoring and found all the workers inside.
City police was able to catch a few more goods vehicles transporting people throughout the week. Senior Super intendent Adam Eiseb said among all the wrongs of this practice, the aspect of human safety is the most important.
