A recent new-comer to South Africa and Namibia's automotive market, is Haval - a giant trademark in the Chinese SUV industry.
We recently met up with the personnel from Pupkewitz GWM Windhoek, to meet the Haval H2 luxury SUV. With the technologically-leading GW4G15B (1.5L) high efficiency and energy-saving engine, the driver will experience outstanding sporting performance and prominent fuel economy, which can be as low as 7.0L per 100km. But don't let that fool you; the H2's power is still phenomenal, with 110kW top power output and 210N.m peak torque.
Given its family car positioning, the 1.5T City is suitably equipped with some great safety features: daytime running lights, park assist, tyre pressure monitor system, and airbags. ABS with EBD and brake assist are available on all vehicles, and the traction control system is augmented with stability control.
The convenience of the push-button start function, key-less entry, and self-dimming rear-view mirror are all added to improve your driving experience. Furthermore, child seat anchor points and –locks (ISOFIX) are provided for rear occupants and finally, the reverse-view and side-view cameras are supplemented by parking sensors at the back.
We can go on, but then you won't get to hear the actual news! You can view all of the specifications by clicking on the following link http://www.haval-global.com/havalh2.htmlhttp://www.haval-global.com/havalh2.html
So the BIG news is that Namibia not only brought the new Haval H2 SUV in, but the vehicle has already been sold! Mr Abraham Ihalua came to fetch his car at the GWM dealership yesterday, 12 July, and seems to be thrilled about his new purchase. He excitedly told us how quiet the car drives and that he knows he will have many happy and safe journeys ahead.
He drove the dealership's other brand, a GWM M4, before purchasing the Haval from Ferdi Otto, salesman at GWM Windhoek. The Haval, also an established brand from China, provides the luxury sought after by many.
Mr Ihalua, we wish you many happy miles ahead!
If you are also looking for the luxury, space, safety and uniqueness of the Haval H2, fear not! The dealership will be receiving new stock within the next two months. And if you are curious about the price, they should start at a low N$289 900. Now THAT's value for money!
